Dear Eric:
As of 12/10 I will be off the board. As I reflect over the past 17 years you are one of the people that I admire the most.
While we have not known each other long I feel like you are one of the most authentic and genuine people I have worked with. In fact, your whole team is! You have one of the most necessary missions that will impact our students, families, teachers, and staff. Your program gives me hope.
As I think about my educational experience I had only 2 teachers that believed in me, and I soared with their mentorship. So, if we can get all teachers, staff, administrators, and board members to understand the power of positivity that they have and we all learn the lessons of equity it will not only change how students learn, but it will cause them to realize their full potential. This will have generational impacts, and it will make for a better world.
One of the things I will miss will be seeing this project to completion. This is one of the most exciting initiatives we have undertaken.
If you ever need a business or personal reference I would be honored to provide one.
