Mrs. Autrey, a native of Michigan, began collaborating with NUA in 2004. Previously working on NUA projects in Seattle, WA and Birmingham, AL, she is currently mentoring in Bridgeport, CT, East Allen, IN, and Greene County , GA. Her most recent roles in the literacy arena, K-12, have included Reading Specialist, Intervention Coach, and e-Learning & Best Practices Facilitator. A graduate of Murray State University, with an M.Ed. in Reading from The University of Georgia, Mrs. Autrey is also a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy.
Believing in the the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us,” her goal is to respect the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, and moral development of all learners.
